Fall of The Five (Print)
My most challenging and comprehensive piece, yet. All together taking ~5 months. Originally created in a white void to join my celestial series, I opted to add the desert landscape to pair with my Sands of Time piece. Fun fact, I added the background SECOND, as I initially wanted it to be in the white void of my celestial series, but changed my mind. Both versions can be ordered as prints!
Fall of the 5 depicts the 5 Chinese elements: Earth, Tree, Water, Fire, and Metal (gold) falling toward an element-less desert. Each elements is destructively interacting with another.
Tree (grass) broke earth (rock) which is depicted through the tuft and crack
Rock hit water, observed through the droplet and waves created
One can assume the tsunami of water may extinguish fire
Fire is melting metal
