Fall of The Five (Print)

from $25.00

My most challenging and comprehensive piece, yet. All together taking ~5 months. Originally created in a white void to join my celestial series, I opted to add the desert landscape to pair with my Sands of Time piece. Fun fact, I added the background SECOND, as I initially wanted it to be in the white void of my celestial series, but changed my mind. Both versions can be ordered as prints!

Fall of the 5 depicts the 5 Chinese elements: Earth, Tree, Water, Fire, and Metal (gold) falling toward an element-less desert. Each elements is destructively interacting with another.

  • Tree (grass) broke earth (rock) which is depicted through the tuft and crack

  • Rock hit water, observed through the droplet and waves created

  • One can assume the tsunami of water may extinguish fire

  • Fire is melting metal
